Red has a legacy as an auspicious bridal colour in India.  And while the colour lexicon for Indian brides has evolved over the years, the love affair with this crimson hue continues to be an enduring one. Some designers are inspired by its cultural inheritance and others bringing something new to the classic, but the fact remains that red continues to be the choicest pick for a majority of Indian brides. Aashni + Co brings you a closer look at the best reds of the season.

Sabyasachi has embraced the richness of hue in his DNA with his signature Sabyasachi Red, used across traditional lehengas as well as his heritage bridal collection featuring kurta sets and saris; all of which are enriched with metallic thread embroidery.
